Unveiling the Secret to Our No-Cost Disney World Family Adventure

Title: Our Awesome Free Family Trip to Disney World

Hey, I’m Marc Andre, a credit card rewards and cashback enthusiast. Here’s the inside scoop on how my family took an all-expenses-paid vacation to Disney World.

So, here’s the background: My wife, two kids (8 and 5 years old), and I visited Disney World in Orlando, Florida for the first time. We regularly travel, usually opting for cheaper outings like hiking, but this Disney trip was a biggie – our most expensive yet!

Yet, each expense was taken care of – flights, accommodation, park tickets, even food, all thanks to clever use of credit card rewards, signup bonuses, and some savings from easy-to-use apps.

Originally, we had planned this trip for April 2020, but the pandemic had other plans, so we had to reschedule. We began our savings journey in late 2019, and by six months, we had enough funds saved from credit card rewards and bonuses to cover the trip.

Despite the change of schedule, however, we kept saving but didn’t focus on adding more. In the end, we added a little more in the last year, but most was from the initial savings plan.

Let’s take a look at our trip expenses and how we covered them:

Trip expenses:
– Airline tickets for four – $1,099.84
– Six nights at a Disney resort + five-day park tickets – $2,570.40
– Walmart grocery delivery – $127.78
– Restaurant meals and snacks – $247.95
– Souvenirs – $80
– Tips – $70
– Off-site airport parking – $49
Total: $4,244.97

We covered these costs with:
– Credit card signup bonuses – $1,600
– Ongoing credit card rewards and cashback – $3,000+
– Bank account signup bonuses – $2,800
– Extra money from apps and websites – $967
Total: $8,367

Signing up for the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card got us an amazing signup bonus of 80,000 points ($800 in cashback or $1,000 in travel fare). We used a mix of other cards to earn even more cashbacks.

We also got bank account signup bonuses: five accounts each with its bonus, totaling $2,800!

Passive income apps and websites like Swagbucks, Capterra, Dosh, MobileXpression, and UpVoice helped us make a little extra, summing up to $967.

Disney deals fluctuate, but we managed to secure five days of park tickets for the price of three. We kept our meals cost-effective by getting groceries delivered to our resort and only bought one meal each day either in the park or at our resort.

The Disney shuttle took care of our transportation to and from parks, making a car rental unnecessary. We stayed at the All-Star Movies resort, a budget-friendly yet comfortable choice.

Considering taxes and other factors, it’s quite amazing how much we saved up for this trip, even enough for a future one. If you’d like to take a vacation without breaking the bank, then this approach should be your best bet.

A great starting point would be to get the Chase Sapphire Preferred card and enjoy its generous signup bonus.

See you at Disney!
